School Lunch

Here at St. Anthony's, we love to feed hungry minds!

Learners of all ages need refuelling during a day in the classroom and we're here to make sure there's plenty of delicious, home-cooked food ready for eating when the lunch bell rings! For us, it's very important that we serve fresh, healthy food which tastes great and is prepared in our own school kitchen.

Children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to a free meal each day under the Government's "Universal Infant Free School Meal Scheme".  The daily cost of a school dinner for children in Years 3-6 is £2.10 and all school meals should be paid for in advance via ParentPay. Our school meals are provided by Taylor Shaw Ltd who prepare a nutritionally balanced two-course meal, on a three-week rota.

Details of our school menu can be found below.

Packed Lunches

Alternatively, children in KS2 may bring in a packed lunch.  In keeping with our 'Healthy Schools' designation, packed lunches should be nutritionally balanced where sweets, chocolate and fizzy drinks are not permitted. Here at St. Anthony's we are a nut free school, so please ensure all packed lunches do not contain nuts.

Free School Meals

Although every pupil in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Infant Free School Meals, we still need to know if your family qualify for Free School Meals. Children in Year 3 and above may also be entitled to free school meals if your family is in receipt of certain benefits. For further details and to find out whether you are eligible for free school meals please visit http://www.slough.gov.uk/schools-and-learning/free-school-meals.aspx

Medical Diets & Allergies

If your child has a specific dietary need for a medical reason, we will work with you to create a menu to  meet the needs of your child. We have a Medical Diet Procedure to follow, to ensure your child can safely eat with us. If you would like your child to have a school meal we would need to see a medical certificate from your child’s consultant. We can then proceed with creating a suitable menu.

Please see below for a Medical Diet Request form.
